How We Do What We Do

All of the Make Your Mark team follow a strict code of ethics which is as follows:

  • To train dogs professionally with in the best interest of the dog and owner.

  • To provide value to clients and the wider dog training community.

  • To make all students feel like part of a community, valued and comfortable. 

  • Use least invasive, minimally aversive training methods and aim to always be as force-free as possible.

  • Promote science-based training and behaviour modification methods and constantly refresh syllabuses as more research is produced. 

  • Always continue pursuing professional development through books, workshops, courses & seminars surmounting to at least 200 hours per year. 

  • Respect the privacy of clients.

  • Do not use or promote the use of positive punishment or aversive training tools.
